Coping with Primitive Instincs

Every now and again people can wind up in a situation and the moment strikes when you least expect it. Sometimes, we make a decision we probably shouldn't have. I blame the primitive human desires I was given via  the normality of my existence. I never want to wrong anyone; I only want good things for everyone on this earth. But sometimes, we tend to act on instinct rather than rational thought (due to our primitive nature). This can appear in sexual encounters, disputes, the need to help others, feelings of generosity vs. disingenuous feelings, the need to belong, be loved, etc. In my case, my primitive nature is triggered by the carnal things in life, and that is my weakness. Others' weaknesses might be abuse, psychosis and the need to hurt/harm another, or even as simple as a certain noise that causes rage and furry out of nowhere. I will take the severity of my faults with a grain of salt. Although I have hurt many people, and possibly myself due to my actions, I can at least be glad that I have somewhat total control over other aspects of my life. That being putting family first, maintaining a good job (though the pay sucks right now), sticking with my schoolwork, though I have struggled here and there, and pursuing the same career choice I have had since high school. Trust me, I listen to everything you say, whether I tend to follow through with it or not. I know your intensions are nothing but the best, but as you know, we all go through are little "deals" and learn unique life lessons along the way. If only it was as easy as just doing what you are told, but from day one our human existence has been based on rebelliousness; a feat that will never change. We can only learn to utilize it to the best of our abilities, and in my case, I am still learning and struggling through life's battles...
